Pickleball fans, it’s game on in West Chester Township, Ohio, as the National Pickleball League (NPL) Championship Weekend kicks off! From October 17-20, the Pickle Lodge will host 12 elite pro teams, each battling for a slice of the $150,000 prize pool. Teams like the Boca Raton Picklers, Columbus Hotshots, and Houston Hammers are among the top contenders, with the finals set for Sunday morning.
The NPL, founded in 2022, is dedicated to pro players aged 50 and older, showcasing the best of the best from around the globe. This year’s event will feature men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles matches, with winners crowned after a weekend of intense competition. But it’s not just about pickleball—there’s also a “Pickle for Pink” charity bracket challenge raising funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. A portion of the event is even dedicated to celebrating breast cancer survivors who are active on the courts themselves
